If you plead not guilty to a sexual offence your trial will usually take place at the Crown Court before a Judge and a Jury. In those circumstances you will need to be represented by a barrister (also known as counsel) instructed by us. We have an approved list of experienced barristers in this very specialist area who are expert in casting doubt as to the reliability of ‘alleged victims’ while at the same time not losing the sympathy of a Jury by clumsy or heavy handed cross examination.
We only trust our cases to a select few barristers who we have worked with on numerous cases over the years including Jenni Dempster at 18 Red Lion Court. Please see a recent testimonial from a grateful client represented by Ms Dempster and acquitted of numerous historical allegations of rape and sexual assault on his daughter.
