Fantastic representation at Kingston Crown Court by Genevieve Reed from 18 Red Lion Court today resulted in our client avoiding prison despite pleading guilty to making numerous category A indecent videos.
The Sentencing Guidelines make it clear that such cases are to be treated extremely seriously by the courts with a starting point of 12 months immediate imprisonment. However after a very detailed and eloquent plea in mitigation concentrating on our client’s work, family, genuine remorse and the steps he had already taken to address his offending behaviour the Judge was prepared to impose a suspended prison sentence with no conditions.
Amazingly this maintains our 100% record of NEVER having a client sent to prison for an offence of making or possession of indecent images or videos.
